Have you ever invited friends over for dinner and then a day or 2 before they arrive gone into panic over what you are going to cook them? That happens to me all the time, anxiety sucks! But recently when it happened I went with my gut and made this beef & red wine pie. It was a huge hit!
The best part about this is while it looks fancy it is so simple!
Hi Guys!! How’s your weekend? Has it been action packed? We finally have a weekend where we don’t have plans, due a party being cancelled because of flooding. It’s been nice to catch up on a few things around the house and not feel rushed. We are going to IKEA today, Marc has never been! Anywho, this week I wanted to share a easy to make but super impressive brunch dish with you, sweet potato, bacon & feta quiche!
I love quiche and they are so flexible, once you have the egg mixdown you can literally make any flavour you want!
I need to start thinking about what I want to do for my 30th brithday. I was planning on Mexican but the restaruant I had in mind may not work out so I am looking again. Do you guys have any suggestions??? I am thinking dinner and then drinks after, some kids are coming so I need to be mindful of that.
Are you a Mac & Cheese lover? I am, it was my favourite way to eat pasta as a kid. But now I like my Mac & Cheese with extra mix ins.
Bacon is always a go to, but chorizo can work, cherry tomatoes add a pop of freshness and tuna is delicious.
For this version I added roasted cauliflower & smoked bacon. The cauliflower add a slight nutty flavour & the bacon is cripsy, smoky & well bacon just makes everything better right?
Going to the butcher is one of my favourite parts of grocery shopping. Our local butcher i9s amazing, they always have a tonne of variety and while their basics stay the same they change things up a little as well. Sometimes they have these amazing smoked pork chops, they make in house smoked kabana and bacon and they always have a huge variety of ever changing sausages. Last week I saw these mini pork and macadamia sausages and I immediately knew I wanted to use them for breakfast hotdogs.
