You might have noticed that I have a little coffee obsession…

So i thought so that we can be friends and share that obsession i would make you spiked coffee milkshakes 🙂

They pack a strong coffee hit, but are sweet and creamy and delightful!

I amde my own coffee vodka, which was super simple, it does take a week but you don’t really need to do anything to it for the week. Just put crushed coffee beans and vodka in a jar and place it in a cool dark place, if you remeber give it a shake, if you dont well to be honest it doesn’t really matter.

After a week strain it and your ready to make these beauties^^

I made them string because i love strong iced coffee, my husband doesn’t like his coffee strong and it was a bit too much coffee for him, the great thing about these is that they are easy to adapt add more or less coffee even throw in some chocolate syrup if you are a mocha fan or use chcolate ice cream instead of vanilla oh oh caramel ice cream would be amazing in these!!

Make them however you like, top them with cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce and enjoy!

These are perfect as an afternoon pick me up, they do have a lot of ice cream in them so they are not an everyday treat but ocassionally they are a must!

Spiked Coffee Milkshakes

Makes: 2


Coffee Vodka

  • 1 cup vodka
  • 3/4 cup coffee beans


  • 6 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • handfull ice cubes
  • 2 shots coffee vodka
  • 1 shot salted caramel vodka
  • 1 shot espresso
  • 1/4-1/2 cup milk (depending on how thick you want it)
  • Whipp cream & chocolate sauce to serve


Coffee Vodka

Place the coffee beans in a mortar and pestle and crush up a bit, they don;t need to be fine, just bash them to break them up a bit. Tip the coffee beans into a jar and add the vodka. Place in a cool dark place for a week, shake ocassionally (if you remember).

After a week strain the coffee beans out of the vodka and pour the coffee infused vodka into a bottle.


In a blender add the ice cream, ice cubes, vodka, espresso and milk. Blend until smooth.

Pour into 2 serving glasses, top with whipped cream, drizzle over chocolate serve and enjoy!
