I love stone fruit, it always makes me think of my Pop. When I was little he used to pick fruit at local orchards and he would take me with him all the time, I must have eaten my weight in nectarines every week, I loved them! I still love stone fruit, nectarines, peaches, apricots, plums they are all amazing! When I was shopping on the weekend I found these huge peaches that smelt incredible! As soon as I saw them I thought of peach cobbler.
I turn 30 in 21 days and I’m actually feeling really good about it. The last 6 months have been amazing! I got married, I started this blog, I have so much more confidence and I am happier. I am chasing my dreams and that is an amazing feeling.
This year we will be building our house!! (OMG STILL STUPIDLY EXCITED ABOUT THAT!!!) Life is pretty great at the moment. I am looking forward to everything this year has in store for me!
Have you ever invited friends over for dinner and then a day or 2 before they arrive gone into panic over what you are going to cook them? That happens to me all the time, anxiety sucks! But recently when it happened I went with my gut and made this beef & red wine pie. It was a huge hit!
The best part about this is while it looks fancy it is so simple!
Hi Guys!! How’s your weekend? Has it been action packed? We finally have a weekend where we don’t have plans, due a party being cancelled because of flooding. It’s been nice to catch up on a few things around the house and not feel rushed. We are going to IKEA today, Marc has never been! Anywho, this week I wanted to share a easy to make but super impressive brunch dish with you, sweet potato, bacon & feta quiche!
I love quiche and they are so flexible, once you have the egg mixdown you can literally make any flavour you want!
We are in the midst of ex tropical cyclone debbie as I write this. For those of us here in Brisbane we are mostly get rain, lots of rain. We have had flash flooding and constant rain since around 1:30 wednesday morning.
But for those in Far North Queensland who bore the brunt of the cyclone they have sustained much worse. They have had rooves ripped from house, garden sheds blown into neighbours yards, boats washed ashore I even saw a photo of a bull shark now stranded once the flood waters receeded.
