I hope you all had a fantastic Valentine’s Day, whether you celebrated or not I hope you enjoyed the day and felt the love.
I made it through last week and all the craziness, between make 335 mini cupcakes, a three tier cake, a gluten free dairy free unicorn cake, a gluten free black forest cake and some cupcakes along with my Mum being here for the weekend, Marc flying to Perth, a concert on Monday night and blogging it’s nice to have a couple of days to just chill.
This weekend we are going out for dinner, it will be our belated Valentine’s Day dinner, I am so looking forward to it! Do you have any plans for this weekend? Aside from dinner I will be spending plenty of time in the kitchen working on more recipes to share with you 🙂
Here is a round up of links I am loving on the interwebs this week…
Raspberry and lemon are two of my favorite flavors for cakes and desserts and these cupcakes combine both in a lemon curd cupcakes with raspberry frosting, so much yes!!
I adore Greek yogurt,I eat it almost everyday, and when i saw this recipe on Foodie with Family for Icelandic Yogurt i knew i needed to try it, i am making it this weekend!! SO MUCH EXCITEMENT!!
How stunning is this Cardamom white chocolate bark with Rose, Pistachio and gold???? so pretty and those flavors DYING!
Aren’t pistachios gorgeous? The colour, the flavour i love all of it and i 100% agree with Sally they are so underrated in desserts. But these Pistachio cupcakes make them front and center and Sally’s strawberry frosting is absolutely amazing if you haven’t tried it yet you must try it ASAP!
Have you heard of sandwich scones? I hadn’t until i saw these they are scones filled with passionfruit curd and raspberries then baked, can you imagine it? Is life even real life??? who thinks of that amazingness?
I have never made rolled cut out cookies ever and i have never wanted to, but these blood orange curd cookies are definitely the turning point in that, the combination of buttery pastry and vibrant blood orange curd? i need these in my life!!
Any excuse to eat chocolate for breakfast is a good one right? and if we can add good friends, waffles, brunch and maybe wine…. are we in heaven??
Last but definitely not least is this post from Kelly over at Studio DIY about your love language being newly married this really resonated with me. Knowing your love language and your partners love language would make a huge difference to any relationship.
