We are not starting our new year with salads and healthy food. We are enjoying the last couple of days of holidays before going back to work so this means eating food we love.

Today I give you a super simple creamy pasta with delicious crispy bacon bits and….

Broccoli cooked in bacon grease!! thats right cook the healthy greens right in bacon grease for all the flavour.

This pasta has everything i love and it’s got greens it so it’s healthy right? right?

This is going to be on rotation in my kitchen my husband loved it and its really simple so it would be the perfect weeknight dinner.

We have started the new year off with a quiet day at home binge watching The Big Bang Theory. 2017 is going to be a huge year for us so it’s nice to start it off with a quiet day.

Bacon, Broccoli and Pea Pasta with Brie Sauce

Serves: 4


400g Farfalle Pasta
6 rashers of Bacon
200g Broccoli florets, cut in 1cm slices
140g frozen peas
115g Brie, cut into 1cm cubes


Cook the pasta according to the packet directions.

Meanwhile cook the bacon until crispy, remove from the pan and set aside.
Add the broccoli to the frypan and cook over medium heat for 8 minutes or until crispy and slightly charred. Add the peas and cook, stirring for 3-4 minutes.

Chop the bacon into thick slices and add back to the pan, add the pasta and toss. Add the brie and 1/2 cup of the pasta water and toss until the brie has melted. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
